Psalms 18:1 .. You are my strength

Good morning everyone  I'm glad you stopped by to share apart of your day with me. Today's topic is about Strength.
I'm not talking the strength you get when you exercise (although that is important) or the super human strength when you lift more then normal to save someone in danger- no I'm talking about the strength you get from God.

Psalm 18:1 "I love you Lord; You are my strength.

Psalm18:29 "In your strength I can crush an army and scale any wall.
Ps 22:19 "Oh Lord do not stray far away you are my strength come quickly to my rescue.

How many times do we feel weak and feel like we cant go on. That our strength is gone. I have felt that way many times but its those moments we MUST turn to out Father in heaven. He knows where we are and what we need. He wants us to turn to him in those times of need and despair. Yesterday I was speaking with a woman who told me " she wants to wait and get stronger and has it all together BEFORE she turns to God again." I told her she didn't have to wait God knows what she is going through. And that's true for all of us . Isaiah 58:11 says " The Lord will guide you and restore your strength

Psalm`39:10 Says "your hand will guide me and your strength will support me!!.

He knows where you are and what you are going through. He is our strength WHEN we are weak. He wants us to lean against him so he can build us up. That's what Fathers do. He's not just found in Church but in here.
emoticon. In our hearts.

Psalm 28:7 says The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust Him with all my heart. He helps me..."

So you see we don't have to be strong instead we need to let God be our strength. Leading us where he he wants us to go.

For today's prayer I thought the 23rd psalm was fitting. I have included 2 versions Amp and ESV

Amplified Bible (AMP)

A Psalm of David.

THE LORD is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack.
He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters.
He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him--not for my earning it, but] for His name's sake.
Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my [brimming] cup runs over.
Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place.

Amen

English Standard Version (ESV)

Psalm 23
The LORD Is My Shepherd

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Amen

I would appreciate prayers for "Cindi"( not her real name)

She asked me to pray for her the other day "because God hears me or listens to my prayers more then hers. Thank you

  1. Good morning, Debi :-)

I am already praying for "Cindi." She is right where she needs to be to come to the Lord so that He can fill her emptiness. Waiting will only fill that void with things of this world and when she finally turns to God there won't be any space for Him. I am praying fiercely that she will reach out to our Savior right now and ask Him to help!

Bless you for coming along side her :-)
