Proverbs 25:12- An Anxious Heart...

"An anxious heart weighs a man down" Well I can definitely relate to that, My thoughts are weighing me down right now.

Hello everyone and welcome to another episode of living room ministries. Today's message is of a personal nature and one I'm sure others have from time to time- And that is anxiousness.

But what am I anxious about? It could be several things. Healing as I go through the bible study I'm going through, Money, people. Food, non forgiveness fear? As I think about it it could be any number of things as you can see. But Jesus asks us/ me in Matt 6:27 'Who Of you by worrying can add a single hour to their life?" My answer of course is No one. Then He makes a statement saying in John 16:33 "in this world you will have trouble but take heart for I have overcome the world"

Fixing our eyes on God means we are not to worry about anything- nothing zip zero nada. So why am I worrying- Habit. Human nature, Satan trying to win. Any and all of these things are at fault.

So what am I to do to fix or change my habit?

1- Look to God and pray. For when we are praying we are focusing our thoughts on Him, and not on ourselves.

2 Meditate on His Word night and day.

3 Saturate our hearts minds and souls with God's Word

4 Use those words to get rid of Satan. For when we speak scripture to Satan He must Flee.

5 Know With God Nothing is impossible.

6 Repeat to our selves "I can do all things through Christ who strengthen ME!"

Let's pray
Father I come before you today to Thank you for ALL you are doing in my life and on my behalf. Thank you father for one more day. I ask Father that you will move in me and remove all anxious and negative thoughts. Fill me with your loving power and lead me wher you want me to be, Make me and right in your presence as I work to do your will Father. Help me to stay strong when I am weak. For you alone are my strength,
In Jesus name I pray amen, amen amen.

  1. Amen, amen, amen!

Just got news I am layed off today and this message was very apt for me. Thank you!

I am okay because my Lord provides the best according to His riches in glory. As you point out, it is pointless to worry.

All things happen for good for those who love Him. I am a strong believer of that. Amen!

  3. We are to take every thought captive and turn them over to Jesus. Be anxious about nothing, but in everything, with prayer and thanksgiving, present your requests to God. He is faithful to hear us when we call out to Him. Many blessings!

  4. Thanks for this post! I was dealing with my Anxiety rearing it's ugly head again, just yesterday. I went back to my little pit again, for a little while before I made the decision to climb back out & do something about the anxiety I was feeling. I'm still working on it this morning. Just woke up 30 minutes ago & I can already feel the anxiety trying to worm it's way back in again, but I'm not going to allow that to happen today. I have the choice & I need to stay Faithful & keep trusting God to help me instead of allowing Satan to disrupt everything with one simple (but hated) word, a memory or a thought process. I'm going to write down your steps here & keep them in my Bible as a reminder of what I need to be doing when Satan launches his attacks against me. I must have Satan scared with my growth in God lately because his attacks are coming more often & much stronger than ever before.

  5. Yes you do have Satan scared, because its then that he begins to hit hard which means we need to hit harder using God's Word as our weapon. Good for you for not giving up or in. God is doing wonderful things in your life.
