Somebody listen to me please...

Somebody listen to me please...

Have you ever felt like saying – or screaming – that sometimes? I have. I am feeling like that now. Although my life has changed from the way it was a month ago or even yesterday there are those times when I just want to roll up in a ball in the corner and hide. Those times when you wake up and right off the bat feel blah. Those times when nothing in your fridge and pantry look good to eat. Those days when the activities that brought joy yesterday have no allure today Those days do happen but if you stay there too long you are giving the devil a foothold to create havoc in your life and steer you away from Jesus. But scripture says the following

Psalm 119:76 NLT
Now let your unfailing love comfort me,just as you promised me, your servant.

2 Corinthians 1:4 NLT
He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.

2 Samuel 22:3
my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me,and my place of safety. He is my refuge, my savior, the one who saves me from violence.

Psalm 59:16
But as for me, I will sing about your power. Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge,a place of safety when I am in distress.

Psalm 62:7
My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.

Psalm 119:114
You are my refuge and my shield;your word is my source of hope.

Psalm 13:2-4 NLT

2 How long must I struggle with anguish in my soul, with sorrow in my heart every day?
How long will my enemy have the upper hand? 3 Turn and answer me, O Lord my God!
Restore the sparkle to my eyes, or I will die. 4 Don’t let my enemies gloat, saying, “We have defeated him!”Don’t let them rejoice at my downfall....

these are just a few verses I have found and if we pray and ask Almighty God for his comfort refuge strength and restoration in Jesus Name He will give it to us.

John 14:13-14 NLT
13 You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. 14 Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!

So you see if we ask Jesus for comfort refuge, restoration strength in his name we will get it. God doesn't want to see us unhappy and defeated and is just waiting to restore us and get us back on our feet again.

In all of our turmoil he might just say Be still and know I am God. Be still and let me restore you again. Will you let him restore comfort and strengthen you?
So to respond to the statement in the title , God hears you. And he answers you through His Word. Are you listening?

  1. I wonder if God sometimes says, "somebody listen to me please." ouch! I'm so thankful that God always hears me. I want to be equally attentive to His voice.
