My Fathers love

My Fathers love

Doing the on line bible study “It is no secret” one of the chapters I was reminded as I moved through each chapter of the memory of my fathers words when he answered a question I asked when I was a little girl. I had just received a bike and loved riding it. One day my daddy and I were talking and I asked my dad something like “when I get to heaven will my bike be there to? Or something along those lines. My dad knelt down scooped me in his arms and said “ you don't have to worry about that everything you love here will be waiting for you in heaven Some even better then you have here.” And with that statement I never thought about it again.

Now as a grown up I look back on that conversation and smile, it was one of the few conversations I had with my dad about God. He did not want me to worry but enjoy my life as I grew up. And our Father in heaven is the same way.

He loved us so much ( John 3:16) that he gave his only begotten son that who so ever believes in him will not parish but will have eternal life. (John 10:10) Jesus says I come so you can have an abundant life. And in (John 14:2 ) Jesus tells us “ My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?”

So much like my earthly father my heavenly Father does not want me to worry about my life He says “do not worry or be anxious in anything.” ( Matt 6: 25 and 27 ) who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life.

After all this weekend is a fantastic and awing reminder that Jesus came so I could live and live a life full of love and praise as I anticipate being with him in heaven.

enjoy your weekend

  1. That's so wonderful that you remember that conversation with your Father. I really enjoyed how you tied that message you received so long ago to the message we are to store in hearts today.

    Have a blessed weekend!
