God's Answered Prayer - Matt 7:7-8

Matthew 7:7-8

"Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.8 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened."

Good Morning and welcome to a special addiction of Living Room Ministries, My names Deb and I'm glad you could join me. Today we are talking about that age old question of what if? What if I exercise and I pull a muscle, what if I buy that and need the money later for this. And the list goes on, What if is often the reason we don't.

Well I played that game recently as I thought about the days that went by without me exercising. Then I'd feel guilty and bad because I didn't take care of God's temple/my body that day. But as I sat and thought even more the excuses and thoughts of "what if" came into play and that's where it stood. I want to exercise to keep my body and heart healthy but I don't want to over stress my heart, hurt a muscle or move the wrong way and get hurt and that is where it stood-until this morning.

That's when I opened my mail and saw the email from spark with this title

SparkPeople's Healthy Heart Newsletter to me

The specific title to the article- A gentler approach to heart-healthy fitness.

I knew at that moment God answered my concern and all I could do was smile look up and say " THANK YOU "

Now I ask you could God have answered a request /concern any better? After this morning I have to say no. Now there was no excuse God had shown me a way to exercise without straining my heart ( and body) beyond what they can take.
Now the ball is in my court do I start doing the exercises and follow the suggestions listed thus taking the action my Father wants me to take, or ignore the answer He provided? The choice is now mine.

Let's pray
Father God thank you for another glorious day!!!! Father there are times when concerns or worries overtake us to the point where we just don't do anything out of fear and only fear. But Father its when we turn to you asking and seeking that we find. Thank you for the email in my box this morning- all I could do was smile because I knew you had answered my request and prayer. Thank you God for helping me see that the only thing we have to do is turn to you for our answer.

In Jesus' name I pray Amen.

  2. I love it when the Lord answers prayers so loudly and clearly that all you can do is sit back in awe and marvel at His goodness! I'm praying for you and for His motivation to get out there and exercise. Your heart was made to work and be strong. If you start out slow, it will strengthen and be able to handle more...and more...and more. Kind of like spiritual love ;-)

Have a great day, Debi! :-)
