Now that we have been born a new, what do we do, how are we supposed to live? First we are to seek first his kingdom and his righteousness. (Matt 6:33) Because Matt 6 24 reminds us “ No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate one and love the other or he /we will stand by and be devoted to one and despise the other. You CAN NOT serve God ad money.” ,, I would much rather stand by God and on his side then the other just watching from the side lines. For Proverbs 23:7 says “For as he thinks in his heart so is he” What are you thinking in your heart? It also says in Colossians 2 “Set your minds and keep them set on what is above NOT on the things that are on the earth. Because “for (as far as this world is concerned) we have died and our new real self life is hidden with Christ in God. Then we are told where to store our treasures Matt 6 19 - 21 says: “ Do not gather and heap up and store for yourselves treasures on earth where moth and rust can destroy, But gather and heap up and store for yourselves treasures in heaven. For where your treasure is your heart will be also.”
AS you can see the bible is full of wonderful teachings and words of instruction and teachings,that's because “Every scripture is God breathed( given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience and for training in righteousness (in holy living in conformity to God's Will in thought, purpose and action).( 2 Tim 3:16-17)
Let's Pray
Father thank you for your Word and the instructions on how I am to live and where to set my mind. Help me refocus my mind if it is not in the right place father for I want to serve you and do your will in Jesus name I pray amen.
