Good afternoon, have you ever just sat staring out the window
wondering when the roller coaster ride you were on would be over? Or feel like
you’re running to catch an already moving train? This is me today. At 48 I feel 60 this
morning as well, as defeated. You see, I
missed an assignment yesterday and am behind on another now, and already next
week’s assignments are posted. On top of that I need to take care of financial
aid and find 2 more references and make sure because I don't have $128 like a
letter I received said I needed by the 26 or
I will be out of school before
its really even begun. (I'm going in early Wed to try and get that straightened
out.) As I re read this there are a lot of Ands there…
It's all of these that make me just star out the window and
wonder why. or what's the use. But in the midst of thinking this way, a thought
comes to mind its from John 16, 33. “! I
have overcome the world.” Jesus was telling His disciples that you will have
trouble but take heart and know that He has overcome the world.
“I have overcome the world." What a powerful statement.
As this statement comes to mind I can only feel lighthearted and better
because compared to what my Lord has suffered – for me- for us what I am going thru is NOTHING. Nothing compared to what He suffered
at Calvary. And I will get thru this
with His Help and strength. Phil 4:13 For I can do anything thru Christ who
strengthens me”
Praise God ….. Father thank you for sending me the Holy
Spirit today to remind me that you said “I will
have trouble , but you wouldn’t give me anything I couldn’t handle and I
can do this because you came before me and are beside me and have gone ahead of
me. I have nothing to fear because He who is in me is GREATER than he who is in
the world and I can do ALL things thru Christ who strengthens me. Thank
you Father for reminding who’s daughter I am ….
In Jesus Name I pray
Amen.
I will pray for you. Phil 4:13 is one of my favorite verses. I have a plaque with that verse written on it. My Aunt Sadie,, who passed away from ovarian cancer a few years ago owned the plaque 'cause it was her fave verse too. Now it's mine as a keepsake. Keep your eye on Jesus and the money you need will pop up. Don't forget that God doesn't give it to you a minute before you need it, so don't give up. He's done that for me many times. He's kinda awesome that way. If this is in His plan for you, it will work out. If not, He has something more awesome in mind. Sounds like your thinking is on the right track. HUGS.
ReplyDeleteCarley thank you for your prayers. This afternoon, I got the 2 remaining references I needed. Now tomorrow I will go in early and se if I can get the help with financial aide, there's someone there on Wednesday's to help and I have an apt at 11 to look at the dorm hall. I haven't done the paperwork yet because it needs to be printed and I don't have a printer. You are right, God will give me what He desires me to have. I'll let ya know what happens!
ReplyDeleteI am confident of your praise report shortly. Just hang in there holding on to your faith. I'll keep you in my prayers too.
ReplyDeleteWell ladies, I met with the financial aide lady today and got the paperwork all done and complete. What the amount was for was to remind the students to either pay for upcoming classes or get the paperwork going. I even say the dorm room I was getting. To describe the room its a small 2 room dorm and a bathroom. There will be a desk chair bed microwave and small fridge. I can move in a week before classes.
ReplyDeletePraise the Lord!
